  • MOTHER OF EDWARD BUTLER CARR, AMY ELIZABETH CARR, ANN CARR.
  • Maiden name either Franklin or Butler. If one looks at bodley.ox.ac.uk, they have grave 218 married to MARY FRANKLIN which may be an assumption as it talks about sister "Ann" who married William Franklin. But Edward junior has BUTLER as a middle name, and there is a marriage to support it.

    CHILDREN:
    EDWARD BUTLER CARR had health issues ("infirmity" and "affliction"). [Deaths Dec 1849 CARR Edward Butler Abingdon 6 96, in Lower Whitley]. Baptised 7th March 1813.
    AMY ELIZABETH b1810 married Willoughby BUTLER in 1836 then James OSBORN in 1839, farmer, of Yarnton. [Marriages Sep 1839 BUTLER Amy Elizabeth Oxford 16 123 vs. OSBORN James]
    ANN CARR married William FRANKLIN at Cumnor on 3rd September 1840 (his second wife). [Marriages Sep 1840 Carr Ann Abingdon 6 175 vs. FRANKLIN William]. She died four weeks later of a 'mysterious iillness' and was buried at Cumnor in her wedding gown.
